Ex Managing Director and CEO of Axis Securities, Arun is an accomplished and seasoned BFSI Professional with over 30 years of experience in retail banking, corporate banking, treasury, wealth management and stock broking, financial services, and equity trading.

Arun is currently a Practice Leader in the Financial Services practice at Praxis Global Alliance where he will be leading the asset management and capital markets segments. He was at the helm at Axis Securities for a decade, initially as joint managing director, and since 2014 as MD & CEO. In his tenure, Axis Securities successfully established itself amongst the top brokerage houses in India. He successfully scaled up the acquisition engine for Retail Assets and SME business over the years and structured a lean setup based on cost & product innovation. Prior to that, he spent over 15 years at Axis Bank in various leadership roles in Treasury, Wealth Management and Corporate Banking. He had the opportunity to be a part of the founding team at Axis Bank and headed sales for the first wealth management set up.

Arun is also associated with the Financial Planning Standards Board in India and serves on CII’s National Committee on Financial Markets. He has authored the best seller ‘Yogi on Dalal Street’; a book on investor psychology which has sold over 10,000 copies. He has authored nearly 100 articles on thought leadership and personal finance topics for leading business publications, and regularly appears as a panel member and expert commentator on various media outlets. He is passionate about education and is also a guest faculty with leading management institutes.
